The three pillars of UNSCR1325: Protection, Participation, and Prevention have been furthered through our activities and programmes. These include: supporting the G5 Sahel Women parliamentarians for the Prevention and Combating of Violent Extremism; Strengthening the capacities of Senegalese Women’s Platform for Peace and Security “ËTU
JAMM” in conflict prevention and peacebuilding, especially during the 2017 electoral processes, through the mediation, mobilization, and monitoring and election observation; strengthening of Senegalese Defense and Security Forces Personnel’s capacities on the prevention and the fight against cases of sexual abuse, through the acquisition of knowledge, analysis tools and management of cases of sexual exploitation and abuse in the peacekeeping operations.
